We made a trip to visit the Capitol over the weekend and when you walk in the floor of the rotunda is tiled with the Six National flags have flown over the State of Texas. Here is a bit of technology for you. I found a website that allow you to create your own QR code for free. Go ahead and use your iphone or smart phone to scan the code at the right. It is really cool. You can add to business cards, your website etc. Just another way to advertise inexpensively. The website I used is

It is for this reason that it is the form of lending that is known least about. HR 4173 – Another Round of Threats Aimed at Owner Financing and the Note Business

Contact a senator from your state, or a state where you do business. Contact a representative if you have property or do business in their district.
The government both local in Texas and the Federal Government and implementing laws that will change the Real Estate Investing is done.

With HR 4173 moving forward in conference, we need to contact the Representatives and Senators listed below, as they are Conferees and will have final decision as to the inclusion of Section 1073 and 1074. Please review the draft letter (ready to be cut and pasted to your letterhead) and the attached fact sheet. Both items should be e-mailed or faxed to your Congressman. (Sending to Congressmen outside your area will have little to no impact.) The 5th paragraph has a bolded sentence where you MUST personalize or remove the sentence.

The Texas Note Company closed two note deals this week and lost a third. Why you might ask did we lose the third? Well before I give you the answer let me tell you the details of the note. A note holder approached The Texas Note Company to sell his note. The note was secured by a piece of property in NoTrees (Love The Name) , Texas just a few miles outside of Odessa. The property was 25 acres and appraised at $120.00. The note was a Home Equity Note with an original balance of $30,000, it was originally created by a bank then sold to a private investor.
